When you're the daughter of a New York baseball icon like Joe Torre it only makes sense that you could make a perfect catch and save a baby falling from a building.44 year old Cristina Torre was walking down a Brooklyn street when she noticed a toddler falling off a second floor fire escape. Cristina caught the baby and prevented it from harm. Cristina refused to comment but her father Jo Torre had this to say"I am very proud of my daughter Cristina's actions today during an incident in Brooklyn involving a small child," Torre, now Major League Baseball's executive vice president of baseball operations, said in a statement. "Fortunately for that child she was in the right place at the right time to lend a hand."

Both of the toddlers parents Sam Miller, 23, and Tiffany Demitro, 24 – were arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, police said.
