Jerrod Niemann Signs to Curb Records

Following his departure from Arista Records earlier this year, Jerrod Niemann has signed a new record deal. The singer is now a Curb Records artist.

Jim Ed Norman, the label's CEO, says in a press release that the label is "delighted and privileged" to have Niemann joining them.

"His longstanding association and friendship with others at the label, both artists and executives alike, further enhances that spirit of family, camaraderie and teamwork, which are the attributes of any successful company," Norman continues, "and the characteristics to which we aspire each and every day."

Niemann, who has earned himself a string of hits since releasing his major-label debut album with Arista in 2010, was recently out on the road with good friend, and fellow Curb Records artist, Lee Brice. The two found themselves on tour together after Brice’s original 2016 Life Off My Years Tour tourmate Tyler Farr was forced to go on vocal rest for a few months. Throughout the trek, the two were performing an unreleased duet, "A Little More Love," which they hope to officially record and release soon.

“One thing that Nashville has always been proud of is its heritage," Niemann says, "and I’m lucky enough to be a part of the most historic independent record label in the music industry and wear my Curb jersey proud."

Niemann most recently released a new single, "Blue Bandana," in July. He had been working on more new music prior to his departure from Arista.

Curb Records also recently signed country duo Love and Theft.
