Jennifer Nettles is apparently a huge fan of Twilight.  She shared some of her thoughts on Sugarland's website including the fact that she feels “you can tell a lot about a person by their bookshelf.”  She also correlated book stores to record stores by pointing out that they are both the type of place where all types of people go searching for something.

Taylor Swift will be on “60 Minutes” this Sunday, on CBS-TV.  The feature will air at 7pm.

Country Music will make an appearance at the White House next week.  The Obamas are hosting a string of country stars, including Lauren Alaina, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Alison Krauss, Darius Rucker, Lyle Lovett and James Taylor.  The event will be Monday and is their seventh, “In Performance at the White House” program.  Some of the performers will also help out at an afternoon workshop at the White House.  120 local students will be on hand to learn more about the history of country music and its culture.  The concert will stream at 7pm on the White House’s website.

Thompson Square boarding the 2011 Santa Train tomorrow.  They’ll be one of the celebrity guests riding this year’s train.  The Santa Train makes 14 stops throughout Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee tomorrow, bringing gifts to children and communities. 

And don’t forget the American Music Awards are this Sunday.  The Band Perry leads the country music nominees with a total of four nominations.  Taylor Swift follows with three.  The 2011 American Music Awards will be televised on ABC, beginning at 8pm Eastern time.
