I remember when we first played “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” Toby Keith’s first hit, back in 1993. Like a lot of the new artists we play on WGNA, we don’t always know if they’re going to be around for awhile. But there was something about Toby that made most of us think that he was the man to do it. Since then, he’s had several big hits. He has also been in a few movies including 2008 movie “Beer for My Horses,” which he also wrote, which was based on his 2003 hit song. He also dabbled in the restaurant business with his “Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill.

He’s been involved with politics, and we all know how patriotic he is, especially with songs like “American Soldier” and “The Angry American (Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue).” Now you get to see him perform his hits at SPAC on September 8, along with Eric Church and JT Hodges. Showtime will be at 7:30 p.m. Now I’d like to share my favorite Toby song with you. It’s “Who’s Your Daddy.”

What's your favorite Toby Keith tune?
