Is Throwing Your Christmas Tree to the Curb, Rude? – Daily Dilemma

Here is the daily dilemma for Wednesday, January 4th:

"Now that the holidays are over I started taking down my Christmas decorations.  I especially just don't see the point in keeping the Christmas tree up any longer.  So needless to say, I took the ornaments off and put the tree at the curb for the garabage men to pick up.  However, my neighbor told me I should chop the tree up and put it in my trash bin because the garage men hate picking up Christmas trees.  Is it rude to throw your Christmas tree out in the street?"
