I honestly thought he'd never get married again!  But, I guess he hasn't yet, and as of right now, George Clooney's engagement to attorney Amal Alamuddin isn't even confirmed.

Reports are flying around the internet right now that Amal and George had dinner with friends over the weekend and she was sporting a giant rock on the third finger of her left hand.  Hmmmmm...

At one point during dinner Ed Norton stopped by the table to visit, and George and Amal told him they're engaged.

A source close to the couple says, quote,

"They are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this.  I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever."

George's future bride Amal is 36-year-old British lawyer who specializes in international law and human rights.  She was born in Lebanon, and speaks fluent English, French and Arabic.  She's beautiful, and not the "hollywood type."

George is 52, and if this really happens, Amal will be his second wife.  He was married to actress Talia Balsam (who is now married to John Slattery, a.k.a. Roger Sterling on "Mad Men") from 1989 to 1993, and since then it appeared as if he's been in no hurry to ever tie the knot again. Until now.
