If You’re Drunk, Do Not Chase Bears Through The Woods With A Hatchet

The North Adams Police Department has a issued statement on their Facebook page -

Almost find it hard to believe that they would really need to post this, but apparently, it did happen. A man that had a few too many cocktails allegedly decided to do some dull hatchet hunting for bears. Luckily for the man (and for the bears) he was caught by police and arrested. It was also stated in the post that it’s “a bad idea and is not going to end well”. And for this one man, it didn’t. In all honesty, they probably did this guy a favor. It was better to have the police got a hold of him instead of the bear.

The North Adams Police Department know that there are bears in their area and want to let people know that if you do see a bear to just leave it alone and to give them a call to report it (413-664-4944)
