If Your Little Boy is Swimming This Summer You Must Read This

We were over at a friend's house last weekend and all the kids were having a great time in the pool when Turner, my son, had to use the bathroom.  He's 5, so I went with him in case he needed help.  I was terrified by what happened next!

You know the mesh liner that is in almost all little boy bathing suits?  Well, Turner's penis had gotten tangled in that mesh!  He didn't realize until he tried to take the suit off!  The poor little guy was in so much pain!  It took quite a while for my husband to get the suit off of him!

I immediately cut the mesh out of the suit for fear that it would happen again!

Thankfully Turner just had surface abrasions, but I've seen a couple of similar stories on the internet of little boys who didn't fare as well!

Apparently this kind of thing is more common than I ever imagined!

The whole ordeal kind of reminded me of the warning out there for parents to check the feet in the footie pajamas before putting them on at night so that stray hair doesn't get wrapped around little toes.

Here's a warning - this summer, before you let your little guy loose in the pool, cut the mesh out of his shorts!  Just to be safe!  And, to make sure that summer is as much fun as possible!
