I Found An Engagement Ring in My Boyfriend’s Drawer & It’s Ugly

Here is the daily dilemma for Tuesday, March 13th, 2012:

"I was going through a drawer over the weekend and accidentally found an engagement ring. When I opened the box, I was horrified. It was ugly! The band is yellow gold and I don't even wear yellow gold. Shouldn't my boyfriend known me well enough to know what kind of engagement ring I'd like? What should I do? Should I have my friend intervene somehow so he can switch the ring with something else?"

Is this girl begin materialistic or realistic? Who wants an engagement ring or any gift that they won't like to wear?
