I Didn’t See It
I’ve been on the WGNA night show (with Cryin’, Lovin’ or Leavin’) for just about 6 years.

In fact, when I started at WGNA I was on the night show. I was one of the first co-hosts of Cryin’, Lovin’ or Leavin’. I was on nights for about 5 years and moved to do the afternoon show for 10 years. During my time in the afternoon, I got to watch tv at night. Working nights, you miss some of the shows, obviously. You would think that logically I would record them, so I could watch them at my convenience. I tried to do this, first with the old VCR and then with a DVD recorder. Occasionally, I’ll go online and watch what I missed.
I’ll always hear: “Why don’t you DVR it?” Well here’s the thing. I never bought a DVR machine. This is simply because I used to record the shows that I wanted to see on VCR. That was about as far as it got. I ended up with a lot of unmarked VCR tapes, (or what I like to call “mystery tapes”) and never sat down to watch them. I have all these tapes and have no idea what’s on them.
As for the DVD idea, I think I recorded 2 or 3 shows, but with the same results of the VCR. So I never even bothered to get anything to record the shows after that. I know I would probably fill up the memory on the thing if I did get a DVR. The funny thing is, I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything.
