Hunter Hayes Is Youngest Solo Male Artist To Have No. 1 Country Hit

Hunter Hayes recently topped the Country Music charts with his second single 'Wanted.' The song is not only his first No. 1, it also gets him into the history books!

The multi-talented Louisiana man makes Billboard history as the youngest solo male act to top the Billboard Country singles chart. Hunter Hayes, at 21 years and two weeks of age, has beat the record, by just a few months, that was oringinally set in 1973 by Johnny Rodriguez. In March of '73, Johnny went to No. 1 for the first time with 'You Always Come Back to Hurting Me' at age 21 years, three months and three weeks.
