How You Can Support Our High School Hunger Games
Bethany has already visited several of our participating schools in this year's High School Hunger Games, and is planning to visit the others in upcoming weeks. From what she's seen so far, everyone is doing a great job at gathering food for the hungry!
Each of 10 schools has until Nov. 2 to gather as much non-perishable food as they can to be distributed to food pantries throughout the Capital Region and to feed the hungry in our local area. The school that collects the most food will win a party at Flight Trampoline Park, and bragging rights.
Last year, we gathered more than 20,000 lbs. of food together!
Below are the 10 schools that are officially participating in this year's food drive, but we wanted to tell you about how you can help support the effort even if your school is not participating. It's really simple: visit one of the schools below with your food donation and tell the main office that you'd like it to go to High School Hunger Games!
Here are the participating high schools you can help out:
- Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School
- Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons
- Mohonasen High School
- Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School
- Shenendehowa High School
- Duanesburg High School
- Schenectady High School
- Ichabod Crane Central High School
- Schalmont High School
- Hoosic Valley High School
We couldn't continue this awesome event without the help of our sponsor, Fidelis Care.
