How Do You Speed Up A Slow Computer? How Do I Backup My Files?

These are just a couple of the questions that all of us have.  I never really know the definitive answer to any of these dilemmas.  But I know some folks who do, so passed the message on to them, and here's what I found.

Question from Chris in Ravena- My computer is running slow… what could be the cause and what should I do?

This issue can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

1. Not enough hard drive space.
2. Left over programs and bad files.
3. Data Corruption.
4. Missing Windows updates or outdated drivers.
5. Computer is overheating.
6. Bad Hardware.

Our Friends at Computer Renaissance suggest rebooting your computer first.  If that doesn’t help then you should check to Remove or disable any  startup programs that automatically start each time the computer boots… and of course if that doesn’t help get over to see the experts at Computer Renaissance!  Call them at 220-4445 !
