It seems more and more these days I wake up to hear about another tragedy here in our country. This morning I awoke to see the devastation brought on by a category 4 tornado in Oklahoma. If Facebook is any indication, many of you want to help.

Sometimes even a few dollars from caring people around the rest of the country can go a long way to help those dealing with the aftermath of a natural tragedy. Heck, we are not unaware around here of how Mother Nature can bring havoc on a community.

The latesy community dealing with it is Moore, Oklahoma. Over 170,000 people over 30 square miles were effected, and at least 10 people were killed. So how can we help, where do we donate?

The Red Cross

You can donate to the Oklahoma City Red Cross now. The organization is maintaining open shelters as emergency teams undergo search and rescue efforts. To donate to the Red Cross, go to RedCross.org or text REDCROSS to 90999.

Samaritan’s Purse

An anti-poverty and emergency relief non-profit, Samaritan’s Purse has set up relief units to help those affected by the tornadoes.

The Salvation Army

The local branch of the Salvation Army is directly supporting emergency responders to the tornadoes in Moore with supplies.
