Before you get ready to do some home improvements, make sure the ladder you have has not been recalled. Thousands that have been sold at major retailers are unsafe. According to CBS 6, there is a major recall of aluminum ladders that were sold at Lowe's and Home Depot stores in the last couple of months. Werner Ladder, the maker of the ladder, is recalling seventy eight thousand of its ladders. They say they can break while in use and posing a fall hazard to the consumer.

There are five different models of the Werner Ladder that are being recalled. Their heights range from 13 to 26 feet. So far only one injury was reported when an aluminum ladder broke while the consumer was using it.

The ladders were sold in Home Depot and Lowe's from April 2018 through May 2018. To check out the recall details and codes of the ladders, click HERE. You can get a full refund from the recalled ladders by returning them to the point of purchase.
