Hoffman’s Playland – An Albany Area Summer Tradition May Be Saved

Hoffmans Playland in Latham has been an Albany area tradition for so many families every summer and might continue to do so.

Back in June, there were rumors flying about the business closing, and the Hoffmans selling the property. This prompted a lot of online slew of people wanting to save the business.

In a recent story on News 10 ABC, there was a meeting with the owner, David Hoffman, several leaders from Albany County and officials from The Great Escape, with the possibility of Six Flags taking over Hoffman’s Playland. Everything is in the beginning stages and there have been no agreements reached yet.

There are so many people that have brought their children there. I brought both of my kids there when they were still little.
