Shocking, huh?  Herman Cain has "suspended" his bid for the presidency.  He still says that he is innocent of the charges against  him, but he is out.  Was he a target of the media, or did he bring it on himself? Hmmm...

You can read all the details here, (in case you live under a rock and are not exposed to the 24 hours of continuous coverage today on every major news show, I'll bet!) .

But in response once again to whether he had an affair with this one woman, Ginger White, here was his latest comment according to CNN.com:

Cain said his wife knew nothing about White nor his financial support for her until the mother of two came forward last week.

"My wife now knows," he told the newspaper. "My wife and I have talked about it, and I have explained it to her. My wife understands that I'm a soft-hearted, giving person."

When you couple this with all these other allegations, and again they are allegations only, are you shocked, Herman that the public has their doubts?  Someone was coming forth every other week!

All I can say, if anyone were to ask me-and they won't of course-is that this country has hit rock bottom financially.  Our status in the world is embarrassing as well.

If you have as many potential alleged skeletons in your closet as this guy-no matter who you are, black, white, green, Republican, Democrat-whatever-do yourself and the rest of the United States a huge favor and don't run!   The Doomsday clock is ticking on America.  Noone's totally squeaky clean, I know.  But come on!  When your closet door won't even close, there's a problem!

It all makes for great press, yes.  Great for New York Post.  But I'm sorry, I'm not laughing anymore.   We don't have time for this crap.   We need to get down to business.  I wish I had the sound of a toilet flushing at the ready, because that's where we're heading if we don't get to WORK!!

Your thoughts?  Would love to know!
