I'm 28 years old and finally all of the puzzle pieces fit and the time it right. After much consideration I've come to the realization that it's time to become an adult.

I just closed on my very first house today and overwhelmed may be an understatement. I signed so many papers that I started second guessing how to spell my name, but after a long process, it's done and I'm a homeowner.

I bought myself a two family house with a tenant that has lived there for a few years already and I plan on moving in upstairs within the month. So, not only am I a first-time homeowner but I'm a first-time landlord too. Am I crazy? Probably.

I figured it was a good decision financially. I have an income but also built equity but don't have to take on all of the responsibility for paying for the house on my own which is a brilliant idea.

There are so many people in the world that own houses and those of you who have been through this before, I'm calling on you. I need your help! If you had one piece of advice you wish someone gave you at your house closing, what is it? What are the things I should know but probably don't?
