Back in January a scuffle broke out between Jerel Scott and Albany officers as they attempted to arrest him. He was accused of selling

crack cocaine near the intersection of Colonie Street and Livingston Avenue in Arbor Hill but he wasn't going down without a fight.

During the resist 23-year old Scott's shoe and sock came off revealing a bag of cocaine, which led to a head-butting incident before officers were able to take him into custody. The best way to avoid arrest or additional charges, right?

On Monday, Scott was convicted of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, which is a felony along with seventh degree criminal possession and resisting arrest, which are both misdemeanors. He faces up to nine years in prison with sentencing being held June 13th.
