The Farm Bill will expire at the end of the year.

In a story from News 10 ABC, if the five year bill doesn’t get passed, we could be paying twice as much for things like milk and many other dairy products. This will affect prices of things like cheese and yogurt. People will buy less of those products.

According to a story in USA Today, these negotiations are supposed to start on Wednesday.

The Farm Bill regulates more than just milk products. It also regulates nutrition and food programs, which will mean cuts to the food stamp program.

Let’s hope this bill gets passed on time. Our farmers work very hard. This is their livelihood.
