Happy 102nd Birthday To My Nana [PHOTO]

I am truly blessed to share some very happy birthday news with you today. My grandmother on my mom's side is 102 today. She is a beautiful woman inside and out and she still enjoys her beer, making crafts and playing bingo and table bowling. It amazes me, though, that when I tell people about my Nana, they usually know someone who is also well into their 90's. I have to admit that I do have a long lifespan on both sides of my family. My other grandmother was 101 when she passed a few years ago and my grandfather (her husband) was 92. My grandfather on my mom's side was 87 when he passed. But it's not just within my family, we believe that there may be something in the water in Mechanicville.

There seems to be a lot of Mechanicville residents that have lived well into there 90's and 100's. In fact, there is another woman who is a few weeks younger than my grandmother who still drives and makes her own cookies and pasta while still living on her own.

I know I am lucky, blessed and just fortunate to have had this beautiful woman in my life and each day we have her is a gift. But I know I am not alone, I would love for you to share a picture of your elderly grandparent or parent that is well into their late 80's, 90's or even 100. I think sharing the love of others who are thriving would be a great way to celebrate my Nana's birthday.
