Today Bethany and I were broadcasting live at the track when a man drove up on a golf cart, smiling and said "Hey just wanted to say hi, I'm a big fan of you guys!" We of course thanked him and said we were happy he stopped by but then he didn't leave. He watched us working for a few minutes and when I got up to go to the little disc jockey's room he came to shake my hand, he reiterated what a fan he was and said "My name is Nick Zito". I then yelled "You are NOT Nick Zito, no way!" (In my defense I had only seen him on TV before and he didn't look the same. Also, I couldn't believe that he could possibly be my fan)

He left.

UGH! I was so mad at myself for being such a fan that I didn't push him hard enough to come on the air with us so all the listeners could enjoy a minute or two with a living legend of horse racing. Fortunately, for all of us he came back later (To bring his wife to meet US) and this time he agreed to come on the show.

The next 5 minutes were a wonderful blur for me as Nick talked about the Travers, winning with Birdstone and gave us tips on betting. I hope you enjoy the interview as much as we enjoyed doing it.
