Groom Hit In The Head With A GoPro Equipped Quadcopter [VIDEO]

Have you hired a videographer for your wedding yet?  I'm sure there are a lot of choices out there, from the very basic point and shoot type of person to the elaborate Steven Spielberg wanna-be.  This is an example of the latter, but it didn't go so well.  

A GoPro, in case you don't know, is a little video camera that you can put on a helmet or attach to ..basically anything... to take high quality video.  My son Ben has one, and it has taken some amazing footage of himself snowboarding.   Someday I'll convince him to let me post it.

But I digress.  This videographer had a cool idea.  Get a remote controlled helicopter and attach one of these cameras to it.  Then they'll see if they can get it to do a fly-over right above the bride and groom.  Great concept. but an epic fail waiting to happen.  Gulp!  Watch this:

Poor guy.  And this video got 1,452,000 hits, so many, many folks saw this .  I guess the moral of this story might be to keep it simple when it comes to hiring wedding services.

Like your DJ, for example.  You don't need anything complicated to make it a good party.  Just good music and a lively host.  (Wow - I wonder who you could hire for that?)
