This weekend, if you’re looking for something to do, and somewhere to go with your family and friends, maybe I have the answer.

St Sophias Greek Festival
loading...

Friday through Sunday, May 13 – 15, take everyone to St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church for their annual Greek Festival. This is a great way to enjoy some authentic Greek food and pastries. There’ll be plenty of live entertainment and some Folk dancing, which may include some traditional Greek dancing. Along the line of dancing, you can check out several Greek dancers in traditional outfits.

This is something I might have to check out – Spartan Warriors. Now that should be very entertaining. The kids will have fun, too. The festival will have several children's rides to keep the young ones active and happy.

This is a great way to have some fun, and enjoy a touch of Greek culture that’s close to home. St. Sophia’s is in Albany, at 440 Whitehall Road. It’s only three dollars to get in, and children under 12-years-old are free. The times for the festival are Friday from 6-10 p.m., Saturday from noon – 11 p.m., and it wraps up on Sunday from noon – 7 p.m. Bring everyone and have some fun. Have you ever been to the Greek Festival?
