After being ruled illegal earlier this year, it looks like daily fantasy sports will soon be back in New York state.

If you recall, back in March Draft Kings and FanDuel stopped taking bets in New York because lawmakers said they went against the current gambling laws in the state. According to the New York Times, it looks like this is close to being resolved so they can start taking bets again. The article says the State Senate’s gambling committee has an agreement to legalize daily fantasy sports. The new rules would deem Fantasy sports a game of skill, therefore making them legal. The next step if for legislators to finalize the laws.

This is great news if you love to play daily fantasy. I play fantasy, and playing the games definitely adds a lot of excitement to Sundays on our house. Be it good or bad. Because when you win it's a lot of fun, and when you lose - it's frustrating. My wife REALLY hates it when I lose, because I become miserable to be around.  Either  way - it looks like Draft King and FanDuel will be back in action for football season!
