As you get ready for your favorite season, Governor Cuomo has announced law enforcement and other authorities will be keeping a close eye on New York concert venues this summer.

And the focus is going to be underage drinking.

According to a press release from the Governor's office, this summer '...investigators from the Department of Motor Vehicles along with the State Liquor Authority, State Park Police and local law enforcement are cracking down on underage drinking and the use of fake IDs at venues across the state. ' It's being called the 'Operation Prevent Campaign' to prevent underage drinking.

The crackdown will go through out the summer at venues across the state, including SPAC and all the ampitheatres across the state that host big summer shows.

The crackdown has already lead to almost 80 arrests over the last few weeks, with the confiscation of fake IDs from 9 different states and Canada. The penalty for purchasing alcohol under the age of 21 with a fake ID is arrest and up to 90 days in jail.
