It seems that every few days we are being warned of a possible Salmonella outbreak in our snacks. Here's another one to be aware of. This time it's those delicious Goldfish crackers. There are a few flavors that have been recalled. Just like the Ritz Cracker recall, Pepperidge Farm is voluntarily recalling their Goldfish crackers because of possible contamination from the company that supplies the whey powder that is in the crackers.

Pepperidge Farm was proactive in investigating the possible Salmonella contamination and out of caution, they decided to have a voluntary recall of four varieties of their Goldfish crackers.

The varieties of Goldfish being recalled according to the Business Wire are:

  • Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar
  • Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion
  • Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

No illnesses have been reported and no other Pepperidge Farm products are being recalled.

I will be checking our cabinets, we love all varieties of Goldfish. Better to be safe than sorry.
