Geoff Snyder is a 40 year old art teacher at Ft. Plain Junior/Senior High School, he's a dad, he lives with a pacemaker due to a heart defect, oh and by the way, he's also an American Ninja Warrior.

According to his Instagram page (geoff_snyder_) he's all done with the first phase of his his competition in Cleveland for season 9 of the hit show and had this message for his friends and family back home here in the Capital Region:

"Wow! What an incredible past few days in #Cleveland. 3 years ago I set a goal for myself not knowing if Id ever be able to achieve it. Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about what it would be like to be a contestant on #Americanninjawarrior. That goal, that dream has come true...and it was AMAZING!!!! I can' let you know how I did or give you details...you'll just have to wait to see when it airs this summer. The season premiere is June 12th. Thank you to all my friends and love ones. Thank you to my coworkers and students. Thank you to anyone one who has reached out with support and words of encouragement. Lastly, thank you to the @ninjawarrior for the opportunity to live out a dream!"
