GNA’s Surprise Call From Country Music Legend During Radiothon

Wow.  That's the only way to sum up our feelings as the phone call came into the GNA studio this morning just before noon.  Alabama lead singer Randy Owen, who also happens to be the man at the forefront of the 'Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon' shocked Brian and Chrissy with an unexpected phone call to thank YOU, the generous GNA listeners who make this radiothon such a success.

With all the accomplishments that Alabama has achieved in their decades of success, nothing means more to Randy Owen than being the pioneer of the radiothon for St. Jude that has raised close to 1 BILLION dollars in 30 years.  It was an honor and a privilege to talk a man whose legendary singing career is only matched by his legendary passion to cure kids with cancer.
