Thursday, August 1, 2013 hundreds of people packed Vapor at Saratoga Casino and Raceway to ‘Party For a Cause’ and raise money for Saratoga County 4-H.

Hosted by Kevin Richards of WGNA, the night featured something for everyone who loves Country Music. Starting with a VIP reception, guests enjoyed Classic Country complete with delicious food and a shooting gallery followed by Kevin’s Country Trivia co-hosted by Marian Carter and a special performance from Gregg Simmons of the band Cryin’ Out Loud. Simmons exclusive VIP mini-concert also included a special performance by Dancin’ Dorothy’s Country Kickers, dancing to his hit ‘Summertime In The Adirondacks,’ choreographed by Cheryl Dibble.

After a private VIP line dance lesson, the doors to Vapor swung wide open and more and more country fans packed the floor. Richie Phillips of the Sean and Richie show was the next special guest, entertaining the crowd with his classic parody of ‘Puttin’ Up Cones’ (a twist on Randy Travis’ ‘Diggin’ Up Bones’), then a special song for the CCE (Cornell Cooperative Extenstion) and 4-H members, concluding with a fun round of ‘name that tune.’

Line Dancing continued with more lessons and hot country dance songs from Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and more.  Then, to cap off the evening, the lead vocalists of the Northeast’s most popular country cover band Skeeter Creek hit the stage. Dave and Renee rocked through hits like ‘Wagon Wheel’ ‘Country Girl Shake It For Me’ and ‘Suds In The Bucket.’

In addition to the best dressed cowboy (Andrew Koch) and the sexiest cowgirl (Brigette Chabert) contest, several prizes were handed out including Great Escape Tickets, Yankees/White Sox tickets, Double M Western Store Gift Certificates, Race Track prize packs and much more.

On top of the successful ‘Party For A Cause’ country night, Vapor matched the $5 donation at the door to go directly to the Saratoga County 4-H. Special thanks to everyone who joined the big party and we hope to see you at the next big Vapor Country Night on Thursday, September 12, 2013.
