Getting Help Locally For Addiction

Many people are affected by someone that they know, that has a drug and alcohol addiction and do not know how to get that person help.

In some cases the addiction lead to the death of a loved one, because they didn’t get the help that was needed.

For people in the Capital Region, there is a place that you can call that will give you the answers that you need. It’s called Friends Of Recovery New York.There are some people that don’t believe that recovery is possible, but according to an informational brochure from Friends Of Recovery New York, recovery is possible for everyone.

On Sunday morning, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:10 a.m., you can find out more about Friends Of Recovery New York. On Capital Region Sunday, our public affairs show on 107.7, WGNA, I’ll be speaking with the C.E.O. of Friends Of Recovery New York, Robert J. Lindsey. He’ll have some information about alcohol and drug addictions, and how people can get help. There’s a website (www.for-ny.org) that people can go to for information.
