Florida native Michael Ray has been making a name for himself in Nashville the past few years, and now he's bringing his talent to the Countryfest 2017 stage this summer.

Most known for his first single, "Kiss You In the Morning," which hit No. 1 on country music charts within 24 weeks, Ray grew up about an hour outside of Orlando. After meeting with record producers in Nashville, Ray went back to Florida to build up a loyal fan base before returning to record "Kiss You In the Morning" and his follow-up single, "Real Men Love Jesus."

Ray has been interested in performing music since he was about 9 years old, when he started playing guitar with his grandfather. Together they would perform at community centers and VFW lodges, playing the music of Merle Haggard, Bobby Bare, Waylon and other country music legends.

He has recently toured with Chase Rice, Sam Hunt, Brantley Gilbert and Kip Moore.
