The bell rung again in the offices of Universal Music and MCA Records in Nashville on Monday afternoon.

George Strait, the undisputed King of Country Music has officially hit the top of the charts again with his 58th #1 hit "Here For A Good Time". The passion for George Strait amongst the most loyal listeners of country radio has never let up, not even for a second.

With a new crop of red hot country artists storming up the charts and taking off like a rocket some of country music's last generation stars have seen the stock slip. George Strait is still standing rock solid in the middle of it all against the likes of Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington, Luke Bryan, The Eli Young Band, Carrie Undewood and Brad Paisley just to name a few.

The King shows no signs of letting up, but there are rumors that have started rumbling and none have been verified. The rumor I have personally heard in my weekly dealings with Nashville record labels here at 1077 'GNA that keeps coming up again and again is that when George Strait gets his 60th #1 hit he is going to retire. That could happen very soon.

It is just a rumor though and George Strait is truly the only person that knows what George Strait plans on doing. For now though, let's party with the King and his 58th #1 hit "Here For A Good Time".
