79 Year Old Country Music Legend George Jones was just released from a Nashville hospital.  George Jones, also known as The Possum, went in for an annual routine health check-up and decided to check himself in for the night.

George went in to an unnamed Nahville Hospital on Wednesday, January 5 and went home on Thursday, January 6, 2010.  According to georgejones.com, the Country Music Hall of Famer is doing better.

“I just decided I didn’t want to drive back to Franklin in this cold weather. So I guess I’ll stay here overnight and go home tomorrow!”

George Jones is one of the most respected Country Music singers of all-time and is best known for his Grammy winning classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today."  George's most recent project is titled "Burn Your Playhouse Down," featuring a duet with his daughter, Georgette Jones.  The only child of George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
