1989- Tanya Tucker has her first baby, Presley Tanita.  The name is inspired by her friend Elvis Presley.

1980- George Jones takes ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today’ to No. 1 on the Billboard country singles chart.  The song earns a Grammy Award and a CMA Award for Best Country Song of the Year.

1969- Jack Greene is at No.1 on the Billboard country singles chart with ‘Statue Of A Fool.’

1954- Elvis Presley records ‘That’s All Right’ at Memphis’ Sun Recording Studio.
