The Music and Memories of March 30

2002- Martina McBride is at No. 1 with 'Blessed.'

1999- Alabama and 'Nsync are in the studio together to record a version of 'God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You.'  The two groups later unite on television to sing the song on the CMA Awards.

1992- Garth Brooks is on the cover of Time magazine.  Another example of how popular Garth was during the early '90s.

1975- The album 'Wanted: The Outlaws' becomes the first album in Country Music history to sell one million copies.  The album by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter, and Thompall Glaser is certified gold.

1974- Tanya Tucker is at No. 1 with David Allen Coe's 'Would You Lay With Me (In A Field Of Stone).'  Tanya is only 15 at the time, and many radio stations and fans feel the song is inappropriate.
