Funding To Combat Urban Blight Going For Four Local Cities

Everyone knows how bad that some buildings can get in almost any area can deteriorate, especially in cities.

Four Local cities have been awarded state funding to help battle urban blight. Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy, Gloversville Mayor Dayton King, Amsterdam Mayor Ann Thane and Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia have each been awarded an Efficiency Grant for $558,002 dollars to be used towards a the program to combat urban blight.

According to the story from WNYT, The Center For Technology In Government at The University At Albany will be in the partnership to help develop the new program.
