If you have ever wanted to learn how to ice skate, here is your chance and it's free! There are a few times during the winter that the New York Office of General Services announces and holds free learn to skate clinics. There is one coming up in February and not only is it free but it's for all skill levels.

It's the Empire "Skate" Plaza's Learn-to-Skate Clinics happening on Saturday February 2nd at 10 and 11am. If you've never tried to skate but always wanted to learn then this FREE clinic is for you. It's put on by the Hudson Mohawk Figure Skate Club and sponsored by BlueShield of Northeastern New York.

  • Beginner: Little-to-no skating experience.
  • Intermediate: Some experience & ability to stop.
  • Advanced: Ability to skate backwards.

No walk-up day of registration will be accepted.
