Free Fishing Days This Month

If you've always wanted to try fishing, wanted to get someone else to try it or love to fish, there are days this month that you don't want to miss. The best part is that it's free and no license is required.

The Department of Environmental Conservation announced that they are offering free fishing days throughout the year. The next two are Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24. This is a great opportunity to give fishing a try or if you like to fish from time to time but don't want to invest in a license, this is perfect for you.

According to NewYorkUpstate.com, free fishing days are open to resident and non-residents. You can fish in all of the fresh waters in New York state without a license on these special days. You must abide by all other state freshwater fishing regulations though.

There are free fishing days later this year too. September 22 and November 11.
