I love when a politician either former or present does something so wonderful you can applaud them regardless of their party affiliations. George H. W. Bush did just that by shaving his head in support of a two year old cancer patient.

The former president did it to show support to a two year old boy with leukemia, named Patrick.  Patrick's dad is on Bush's Secret Service security detail. As a result of chemo Patrick to treat his leukemia he went bald. All the members of Bush's Secret Service team shaved their heads to support him.  So Bush decided to go bald to support him too.

George and his wife Barbara lost their first daughter to leukemia 60 years ago.  Her name was Pauline.  She was their second child, and she died at age four from leukemia.

Here's a picture of the former President and Patrick.
