The landmark building, which is located at 501 Broadway (at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway) will be renovated into apartments. With changes in technology, The Record didn’t need as much room as it used to, so they recently moved into an office a few blocks away, at 270 River Street Suite 202B. According to an article that was in The Times Union back in April, stated that the plan for the building was for apartments and also for retail.

The Troy Record also had an article that had a little history about newspaper, and stated that April 19, 1909 was when the ‘new press’ rolled the first editions of the newspaper.

In the current article from The Record, the historic building is under contract to be purchased by an Albany based company that has the plans for the use of the building.
