Former Football Star Signs On With NASCAR Team

With the big game this weekend, it’s hard not to focus on football – and since the start of the 2013 NASCAR season is just a couple of weeks away, here is some news for both football and race fans.
Former pro linebacker, Bill Romanowski, is going racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Not as a driver or crew chief, but as a partial owner.
Romanowski will be joining with Swan Racing which is planning to race full-time in the top NASCAR series with the No. 30 Toyota and driver David Stremme. Romanoski’s company Nutrition53 will also be a team sponsor.
Romanowski had a great football career highlighted by starting 243 games in a row during his 16-year career. He played for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders including five appearances in the big game finale.
