Netflix’s plan to double its original content by 2016 might well pull focus from some fan-favorites, but if anyone can keep a positive attitude, it’s the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. See for yourself with a wheelbarrow of puppies and belated Christmas cheer from the first Season 2 photos!

Things have been rather quiet on the front of Ellie Kemper and Tina Fey’s Emmy-nominated series, which itself was ordered for a second season at Netflix in the same swoop that saw it rescued from NBC’s cancellation heap. Amid a host of others, Netflix released the first photo from the Unbreakable new season, with little to no context required.

Entertainment Weekly also released a new photo of the show’s Christmas outing, which sees Kimmy taking on an elf gig:

Fey herself revealed back over the summer (h/t Hello!) that the sunny series wouldn’t abandon the looming court case that dominated the first season (and gave Jon Hamm his best comedic work in years), while the second run would also take more advantage of Netflix’s relaxed standards, compared to NBC. We’ll also meet Kimmy (Kemper)’s mother at some point, though no official casting has yet been announced.

We’ll likely hear more of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in the coming weeks, potentially a Season 2 premiere date as well, so check out the first photo and past trailer above.
