Coxsackie - State police arrested a father and daughter Monday morning after 40-pounds of marijuana disguised as candy were found in the trunk of their car.  48-year old Gary Fox and 24-year old Kayla Fox were arrested.  The drugs in the car were camouflaged as hard candy similar in looks to a Jolly Rancher.  Mixed with corn syrup, sugar, water, and artificial flavoring, and then cut up into pieces, the drugs can be easily sold at concerts for $10 apiece.

Albany - State Police arrested 33 people at Monday’s protest at the Capitol.  Included on that list of arrests are students, professors and the unemployed and are from different parts of the state.  Protestors were arrested after they occupied and blocked a hallway in front of the Hall of Governors and ignored orders to disperse.  The protest was in regards to education cuts.

Cohoes - An 80-year old man was arrested this week after allegedly offering a 14-year old boy $20 to perform a sex act.  The Cohoes middle school student was walking home from school when he was approached by William Gardner.  The boy reported the incident to his teacher who then reported to city police.  Gardner was arraigned in City Court.

Saratoga - A mental evaluation has been ordered for the man arrested last week who was threatening to kill the President and area schoolchildren.  33-year old Brent Dickinson was staying at a motel in Saratoga Springs and was arrested Friday.  Dickinson used public computers at Skidmore College and the Saratoga Springs Public Library to post a threat to kill President Obama.  Two psychiatrists will examine Dickinson at the jail.
