The ice cream places and outdoor restaurants like Jack’s in Wynantskill and Jumpin’ Jack’s in Scotia are all open. And now another sign of the season – The farmer’s markets are starting to open.

In an article from the Troy Record, there’s one that will open on May 17. It’s the farmer’s market at The Crossings Of Colonie at 580 Albany Shaker Road. This is a place that you can go and support our local economy, and get some fresh fruits and vegetables, which will be mostly locally grown. There will also be some other vendors with goodies there. You can bring your family and also spend your day at the park.

This farmer’s market will then be open every Saturday until through the spring and summer until September 13.

Do you know where there are any other local farmer’s markets?
