According to Sproutsocial.com,  the average post on Facebook only reaches 17 percent of fans. They even have more controls now and very sophisticated ways to determine who sees your writing.

Here are some tips, according to the article:

1. Space Out (your posts, that is). Keep them at least an hour apart, but preferably two hours apart.

2. Share things that you hope will be shared again.  If it sounds like it's trying to sell something, Facebook will "dial you down."

3. If someone comments on your post, comment back! Facebook will recognize that and will possibly show that update to your friends who are also active.  There are many more tips, but I don't want to get too wordy (which is another tip for Facebook, coincidentally).

There's a question for you - do you use a fan to go to sleep?  Do you need noise in general? What do YOU use to drown noise out? Would love to know.
