A brass bell that weighs 2,300 pounds is believed to have been stolen.

It was part of the First Baptist Church on South Main Street in Gloversville, which was torn down in 2011. The bell, which is an antique, was supposed to be taken to the Fulton County Museum. It was Thursday when the Gloversville Police noticed that the bell was missing.

It’s believed that the bell, which was made in 1865 in Troy, has an appraisal value of more than $6,000 dollars. According to the story from WNYT, everyone in the Gloversville Police Department is involved in the investigation, and working on the case.
