CNN is reporting that an explosion has occurred in Manhattan's East Harlem.

A source tells CNN, "Two buildings have collapsed. It's just rubble."

Authorities are on the scene of the Northwest corner of 116th Street and Park Avenue in Harlem with reports of at least 16-20 injured. As of the latest update, ABC is now reporting that two people are confirmed dead as a result of the explosion. We are also learning that casualty numbers and the injury count will change.

According to NBC News, "The initial call came in at 9:31 a.m.. Smoke billowed into Central Park and could be seen from miles away in midtown, and New Yorkers said they felt rumbles as far away as 150th Street. Closer to the collapse, groceries were knocked from store shelves and debris floated through the air."
