This may not have been an accident. When the police got to the scene, they saw that there was some sort of an argument going on.

Several people that were in the area of the incident, (Harrison Avenue and Second Street in Rensselaer) told the responding police officers that they witnessed a woman intentionally hit another woman with her car. The woman that was hit had some injuries, which were non-life threatening, was sent to Albany Medical Center.

When the police did some more investigating, they found out that the woman that was struck, was the new woman in the driver’s former boyfriend’s life. The driver/ex-girlfriend, 31-year-old Nicole Glynn of Nassau, was allegedly on a mission to confront the ex-boyfriend and his new woman. As the new girlfriend started to walk up to Glynn’s car, Glynn allegedly stepped on the gas pedal and drove into the woman.

Rensselaer Police arrested Glynn. According to the story from News 10 ABC, Glynn was charged with first degree Reckless Endangerment and second degree assault.
