Part 2 of our celebration for the 2013 Capital Region Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech. This event is a Chinese Auction that benefits capital region children between the ages of 3-12 who are affected with Apraxia of Speech. Apraxia is a challenging neurological disorder that prohibits messages from the brain to transmit adequately to the muscles and organs that produce sounds that make words. This making communication virtually impossible for most. Our goal is to raise funds to increase coordinated research, outreach and education, and awareness to those that live with, teach, and treat children with Apraxia. There are many prizes "up for grabs" including: restaurant gift cards, bread for a year, rounds of golf, 4 park hopper passes to Disney, a 3 day 2 night stay at a Cove Haven Entertainment Resort, autographed memorabilia, and much, much more. There will also be a 50/50 and baked goods available for purchase. Please join us for some fun and support.
